Cell Culture
The high containment cell culture lab is very well equipped with a 10 liter working volume WAVE bioreactor (upgradable to 25 liters) and two New Brunswick 10 liter fermentors, as well as static and shaking incubators. Two Beckman Coulter NX robots provide automated liquid handling: a multichannel NX for rapid and efficient liquid handling and a Span-8 NX for more flexible liquid handling (integrated with an incubator, plate washer and PARADIGM detection platform for automated ELISA applications). Downstream processing is carried out by two AKTA systems: an AKTAFPLC providing reproducible performance for purification development and optimization, and an AKTApurifier for scale-up. Analytical applications are carried out on Beckman Coulter HPLC and ProteomeLab systems.
